Toughest Kids hosted several events last weekend to announce the launch of their “Gold Star Family Trust”. What perfect timing to honor our veterans as Hartwell, GA and Cateechee Conference Center were hosting the Traveling Vietnam Wall last weekend as well. Between visitors to the wall, our Veteran’s Golf Tournament, two charity concerts with the “Deep Fried” Band and “Rocking with the Seals”, it was a terrific time and we were able to raise over $3000 for these families.
What is the Gold Star Family Trust?
One of the missions of the Toughest Kids Organization is to help families of Veterans. A Gold Star Family is any immediate family member(s) of a fallen service member. The Trust was originally developed in 2012 by Charles Schell and Wes Cosgriff. The Trust offers charitable fiduciary services and the management and active pursuit of donations to those that have been affected by the loss of a parent or family member while serving our Nation.
